About
Hi there! I’m Mark Beahm, a food photographer with a passion for blending rustic charm with elegant aesthetics. Based in the beautiful cities of Barcelona, Spain, and Portland, Maine, I am always eager to travel for exciting new projects.
-
I believe in putting food in the best light, literally and figuratively. My approach goes beyond props; I meticulously use light to highlight the natural beauty and craftsmanship of the dishes I photograph. I enjoy collaborating with artisan brands to showcase the artistry behind every meal.
- I have loved baking since I can remember and learned to bake from my mother and grandmother. I began working in restaurants at the age of 15, progressing from bussing tables and dishwashing to prep cook and eventually becoming a head baker. My professional baking experience and time in kitchens in both Portland, Maine, and London cemented my deep appreciation for the culinary arts.
-
Like baking, my photography journey started at a young age with my dad and his trusty (read: indestructible) Pentax K1000 from his college days—a camera I still cherish and use. This early exposure ignited a lifelong love for photography, but things really clicked when I combined it with my passion for food.
-
Travel is another of my great passions, having lived in 3 countries and speaking four languages. I use food as a window to learn about and connect with new cultures and friends wherever I go.
- Let’s create something beautiful together. Whether you’re an artisan brand looking to showcase your products or a restaurant wanting to capture the craftsmanship of your dishes, I’m here to bring your vision to life. Feel free to reach out—I can’t wait to work with you!
